Car / Motorcycle Engine Oil , Transmission Oil , Gear Oil

July 07, 2016

Engine oil is a blend of base oils and additives; advanced engine oils can consist of 10 or 12 separate elements. To add an element is to reduce the amount of base oil, affecting the lubrication. For the engine’s performance to be optimised it is important that everything present in the blend has a vital role to play. It is therefore clear that there is scope for real differences in performance between oils.

Oil must work harder than ever in today’s low emission environment due to turbochargers, downsizing and thinner viscosities. High local temperatures in turbochargers and extended services mean oil really has got its work cut out.

Industrial Hydraulic Oil

August 01, 2016

Hydraulics describe the transfer of energy and signals through fluids; power is transferred to drive, control and move.  Hydraulics fluids based on mineral oils, synthetic fluids and fire-resistant fluids are used in all types of machinery and equipment.

Modern hydraulics can be divided into three principle areas: stationary, mobile and aviation hydraulics.  Each of these areas makes special demands on its components and the hydraulic medium.  The performance of hydraulic systems has increased significantly, which is reflected in higher pressures, higher system temperatures and lower system volumes.

Car Beauty care & Snow Foam Cleaning Product

September 30, 2016

Snow foam has been a hot car care topic on detailing blogs and forums for years now, with some people swearing by it and others adamant it does little more then a pressure washer does on its own. Here’s our view on it and why we still believe that a bottle of Snow foam and a foam lance still holds its place in a detailers arsenal.

Snow foam in their simplest form are a high foaming detergent, the reason for the extra foam – apart from it looking quite dramatic, is that it allows the active cleaning component to stay in contact with the surface giving a longer dwell time, that leads to higher cleaning rates from the detergent. Sounds pretty straightforward right? Well here is where it all goes kind of down hill, whilst the Snow foam that you use is pretty self explanatory the device/method of applying it is more than often the biggest pit fall for many who simply don’t get the results they desire from a Snow foam. Whilst a manufacturer can specify on the bottle how much solution to mix, they simply can’t predict the exact dilution ratio it will be when it reaches the vehicle, so it is just an estimate or guide, it requires user input and adjustment to get the correct mixture.

Anti Corrosion Formula

October 31, 2016

ACF-50 Anti-Corrosion Formula is a state of the art, anti-corrosion/lubricant compound, that has been specifically designed for the Aero Space Industry. It can be described as an ultra thin fluid film compound which must be applied on an annual basis. ACF-50 actively penetrates through the corrosion deposits to the base of the cell where it emulsifies and encapsulates the electrolyte, lifting it away from the metal surface. ACF-50 then dispels this moisture and provides an atmospheric barrier which prevents any further moisture contact, thereby keeping the cell inactive. This compound continues to actively penetrate and "creep" into the tightest of seams, lap joints, micro cracks and around rivet heads, dissipating the moisture, even salt water, in these corrosion prone areas. These unique abilities of ACF-50 remain effective for 12 months, gradually disappearing as it is chemically consumed.
